Say hello to Ruth Bader Jeepsburg, my new-to-me 1998 Jeep Wrangler
Quick facts: It’s got the 4-cylinder so it’s very slow, a manual to keep things fun, a winch + onboard compressor to do stupid things with, and it failed emissions by 2% on CO (guess I should’ve put that new air filter in beforehand)
So at this point the stable includes the following...
Daily: 2013 Scion FR-S
Plans: Once the Jeep has plates this is going up on jack stands and getting a full exhaust (incl. headers), coilovers, some meaty-er tires, and a mild tune (Nothing crazy yet)
Winter Daily/Adventure Rig: 1998 Jeep Wrangler
{See Above}
Plans: New roll-bar padding (it has none), line-x the interior (has no carpet), has some trail scars that’ll rust if I don’t seal them, and some minor fixes here and there.
WTF/For the Laughs Rig: 1979 Chevy LUV
Plans: Long-term resto-mod (if I can get around to working on it). Have some Kirkey racing seats (because I hate my spine), line-x the underbody + interior + bed & patch some rust holes, gonna do a custom PI based android auto dash (w/ backup camera, dash camera, lane departure/etc integration at some point. perks of being an automotive R&D/SW engineer) and long-long term it’ll be getting a full EFI conversion & cruise control, LED headlights/taillights, etc .
So oppo, who else is getting ready to/just did dive deeper into the carcaine addiction?

I’d like to switch things up after I graduate in the fall and get a job and hold onto if for a little while.

First of all, that pickup is sweeeeeeeeet! Also congrats on the new addition.
Currently:
DD: E46 M3
Fairweather DD: BMW
1502 hot rod
Offsite storage
: 2019 VW Alltrack APR+
I was in deep on a 72' 1602 very recently, but backed out when I learned that the last bidder in the mix was a dealer.
Then came close to an $800 running NB I planned to split with my pal. Someone beat us to it...
Then I went to see two other 2002's but did not proceed.
Something will probably happen soon.

Oh that’s a top-notch lineup right there. Definitely jealous on the E46 M3, definitely a contender to replace the FR-S at some point

Gonna save money till next year, so no more mods on my cars...expect for long tubes and an oil cooler during the winter on the Vette.

Appreciate it! I’m thinking the trio is gonna be absolutely perfect for getting all the fun stuff I’m looking for! Probably stay as is for a few years & then I’ll look at upgrading one of the elements in it but keep the general equation the same!

Is that a Dane? Hard to tell, but the doofy gallop says yes.

That pickup is gorgeous.
I sold off my four car fleet and am currently rocking the motorcycle life. Probably going to add add a pickup/van around October, and build it out for adventures

Jeeps are fun. Jeeps are good. Cheap Jeeps are often painful, so I hope it can last that long before an easily upgraded component fails catastrophically. I don’t think you’ll make it two years before it looks just a little different than it does right now. The modifying bug is contagious .

Oh I have been up to my eyeballs for a few years, I’m trying to get the Dodge M37 going and my friend keeps procrastinating on the things I need help with... The Z is ok the way it is, my old Mercedes has a few things that could be fixed but it’s ok the way it is for now. I have thought about different options during this time I have not working.

Nope, an english setter! similar g allop but about 2x the speed

You’re almost certainly not wrong there.

That’s pretty much the plan. New air filter, injector cleaner/octane booster. It’s right on the line (honestly should be able to manually pass it when it’s as close as it was) so those should be plenty

Thank you! Thing’s an absolute ball to drive.
Not a bad route there! I was considering trying to snag a JDM 4x4 van instead of the Wrangler but decided to go the cheaper/easier to find parts for stuff I break, route. Some really cool ones out there though, i.e.: https://www.duncanimports.com/wholesale-used/Mitsubishi/1994-Mitsubishi-Delica-8c76a6960a0e08bd5e815bbe5a8eaf58.htm

If accessible, I ‘d pull the plugs to check for possible lean/rich conditions.

Will do as well pretty q uick here (needs a host of other general service done too). Found a mouse nest in the airbox though so that definitely explains a good portion of things

Oh that will definitely cause issues.

Have some Kirkey racing seats (because I hate my spine)
This is the only reason to fit Kirkeys .
